Remember the wonder of your childhood summers?

You can recreate those memories for your children to cherish. No matter how small your property is.

Today we seem to be living in a world that is more troubled and distressing; there are few places that we can find solace and quiet, and fewer moments to cherish the sweetness of our own families and close friends.

We can honor our relationships by sharing a beautiful and peaceful space with our loved ones.

I've been a gardener since I was a child. And now when I garden I feel like a child again, caught in the magic and wonder of the Earth's beauty.
Recently I've d eveloped a new focus on planting edible gardens.
These are the most resilient kinds of gardens and the ones that will payback  for decades.

Pool Time!

When my husband, Don Schneider and I decided to install a pool, we contacted our architect, Duo Dickinson, in Madison,CT, who has a book out titled, 'The House You Build'. He turned us on to Landscape Architect, John DeFeo based in Stamford, CT. John designed the pool and the stone work, including the large stone walls flanking the front door of our home. Duo had redesigned our entryway and added the strong, yet elegant support beams that are his trademark.

Spring 2013
Spring is trying really hard to come. One day it's in the 60's the next is back down to high 30's. Keep an ear out for frost alerts. I hear misting fruit trees if there is a frost alert, will help protect the buds from frost kill.
